RHYTHM-7

Microprocessor-based Gamma Survey Meter "RHYTHM-7"
The survey meter «Rhythm-7» is a new product in the line of Rhythm dosimeters that have gained general recognition as highly sensitive and responsive search devices. Despite the small overall size and weight (225g), the device has sensitivity 200 (impulses per second)/(µSv per hour), which is 50 – 100 times higher than that of a Geiger-Muller counter. The high sensitivity and response are achieved due to the use of a 10cm3 CsI(Tl) scintillator and a 10x10mm photodiode. The microcode enables a prompt detection of radioactive sources (fractions of a second). The statistical error of measurements is automatically reduced as the data are accumulated.

Results of the detection and processing are delivered to an external Bluetooth indicator. The survey meter "Rhythm-7" comes with various devices like Bluetooth hands-free kits and Bluetooth headsets for improved convenience and higher efficiency of use. During covert surveillance, a Bluetooth watch may come in handy, as it has a digital OLED display and call vibration.
It is worth mentioning here that the microprocessor-based survey meter "Rhythm-7" transmits data to the computer through a Bluetooth channel. "Rhythm-7" has a class 1 Bluetooth module (distance 100m). Data transmitted: the power of gamma radiation, the temperature inside the dosimeter, the battery voltage and acceleration. The last parameter is very important when the security mode is enabled in order to prevent stealing the device. Up to 7 survey meters can be connected to one computer and placed at stationary points or on mobile objects within 100m. The computer software collects data from all the meters, reflects them as graphs and saves into an archive. In other words, a radiation monitoring network can thus be deployed quickly.
The survey meter "Rhythm-7" in conjunction with external Bluetooth indicators or a PC is a ready-made solution for remote measuring.
Microprocessor-based Survey Meter "Rhythm-7" is easy to operate - all adaptation functions, setting of thresholds for alerts and measurements are automated. When connected to a PC, it is possible to transfer the historical data and adjust the microcode parameters, should the customer have special requirements.

The microcode software's functions are as follows:
   • Receiving data from the gamma radiation detector and other transducers
   • Mathematical data processing and disturbance identification every 0.25 sec
   • Transmitting disturbance alerts to the internal and external vibration indicators
   • Higher pitch sound alert to indicate approach to a radiation source
   • Adaptation to the changing background
   • Monitoring the Bluetooth connection and reconnecting (in case of disconnection)
   • Transmitting measurement results to the Bluetooth indicator
   • Monitoring the battery state
   • Forming data packages and sending them to the PC
